FamilySearch History Center • New Bern
The Church has a FamilySearch History Center onsite that is free and open to the public. We encourage you to visit the New Bern FamilySearch History Center at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Jesus Christ Church which is open on Tuesday, 1 pm to 4 pm; Wednesday, 1 pm to 4 pm & 6 pm to 8 pm; Thursday, 1 pm to 4 pm; Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday, By Appointment Only by calling Dennis Fitzgerald, 252.349.0005 or Viola Antwine, 252.939.0294. If you are coming from a long distance, please make sure you call beforehand to make sure they are open.
The FamilySearch History Library (FSHL) and the FamilySearch History Centers (FSHC) are operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The FSHL and FSHC are open to all persons, regardless of race, creed or religion. All are welcome to use the resources and services at little or no charge.
The FamilySearch History Center is located in the Trent Woods area of New Bern at 1207 Forest Drive just off Trent Road between Highland Avenue and Red Robin Lane. It is housed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The staff is not equipped to do your research for you, but will gladly explain the resources available and how to best use them.
