Beryl Nulph has just received a reprint set of the two volumes,"A History of Deerfield Massachusetts," by George Sheldon. These books cover much of the history of Western Massachusetts, that includes Genealogies. Originally published in 1895-1896, and reprinted in 1983. It covers the years approximately, 1600-1905. George Sheldon, born in 1818, lived to 1916. Beryl has received three more books, HISTORY OF NORTHFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, by George Sheldon, that also has genealogies in it, HISTORY OF ASHFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS, by Frederick G. Howes, and is a great history , but not a lot of genealogy with the exception of a few of the earliest settlers, and finally ANCESTORS, DESCENDANTS AND NEW ENGLAND HERITAGE OF ASHFIELD, MASS., VOL. 2, by Fred W. Scott, son of Clifton William Scott and Mildred Evelyn Bradford, authors of Vol. 1. (Mildred Evelyn Bradford Scott is a direct descendant of Governor Bradford of Mass.)
