WHY JOIN THE CCGS?
- Meet and work with other folks who are also interested in studying family
history for mutual education and enjoyment.
- Learn new methods for finding those elusive ancestors from someone who has
solved the problem and is willing to share those successful techniques with
you.
- Monthly meetings with program given by outside speakers, or by our own members, help you broaden your own horizons.
- Newsletter distributed to all members every two months.
- Make new friends--fellowship is an important part of any genealogical
society.
- Membership dues---only $25.00 per person per year and $10.00 for each
additional member residing at same address.
The Society meets on the SECOND TUESDAY of the month at the Family History
Center(FHC) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS),
New
Bern Ward, 1207 Forest Drive in the Trent Woods section of New Bern. Meetings
start promptly at 7 p.m. with a short business meeting followed by
an
educational program on some aspect of genealogy. Meetings are usually
adjourned by 8:30 p.m. but no later than 9 p.m. The Society does not meet
during July and August.
