If you are researching the Civil War, the link below might prove useful to you. You can search for your ancestors name and military unit, either solidier or sailor. The name search is specific, so if you do not succeed the first time try typing an alternative spelling of surname. You can also find information about the engagements of your ancestor's unit, and a description of the specific engagement. You will need to explore this site to reap maximum benefit. So Click away!
